Greetings and salutations,
Tony is a little ticked off today, I've been composing and saving my blog entries for yesterday and today, doing a bit at a time as thoughts flash through my mind. This one I started yesterday "I think" and came up after lunch today to add some more, imagine when to my surprise, a window popped open as I logged into OneNote informing me that there had been an error, with a choice of saving or deleting…
I saved it but it's vanished so here I am, happy as a clam! starting all over. But then some good news, as I searched my documents to no avail, I found Dorothy's photos, the ones that I lost!!!! so I sit here shaking my head in bewilderment wondering if I should ever have got into computing, just when I think "I've got it" things happen and I find "I don't got it", my brain's not geared to all this techy stuff.
BUT, with finding Dorothy's photos, I now have a bunch of built up brownie points that I can squander at whim, Oh my, I am in for some fun.
I did go to the show last night, starring a juggler from the UK who was good and very funny, the audience participation was hilarious, how do they know the ones to choose? The finale was the crew and dancers performing a decades old tradition with Princess Cruises, it's the "If I were not upon the sea" routine, we've seen it countless times but it always manages to make me LOL.
Today is our last of the 5 sea days, We've really enjoyed them and met many lovely people from all over. Tonight is formal and the Captains farewell dinner for the majority of pax who will disembark in Papeete. We'll really miss our table mates from NZ, they'll stay in Papeete for 2 days, then take the 5 hour flight home to Auckland.
We've been invited to a wine tasting this afternoon, and Dorothy will take Bev from our table as a guest. I could go and watch but it's not much of a spectator sport, I'll while away the time getting into some kind of mischief :)
I was on line for the BBC football results, the sat was playing up so got very little information before it crashed. I did see that Chelsea is in 3rd. Place, just ahead of Man C and just behind Arsenal but a country mile behind Man U. Have heard not a word about the Flames, Princess no longer prints the daily news and we rarely have the tv on. So if some one will let me know in the comments, I'd be eternally grateful.
You'll notice this is short, my memory won't recall all the interesting factoids I'd included in the "lost pages" though I know some who will be thinking hooray for that :) You know who you are.
Let's see what's happening in the sky, will I get this away? We're about to find out
Snaggers,
ReplyDeleteCan't help with the football scores, I'm afraid! Grant is away at the moment on his golf trip so I can't even help with the techo stuff re putting photos on. I know we used to email our posts complete with photos to our blog. Don't ask me how. Good to hear you are enjoying yourself and also that you are back in the good books! (Don't suppose that will last for long LOL!) Love, Caro!
I can't help with the football scores Tony but glad you enjoyed the company of a couple of Kiwis!
ReplyDeleteI just googled..Flames 3 Blues 2.
But have no idea if that helps you!!
Cheers, Vee
First let's deal with the Flames. They won over St.Louis on Friday and play Colorodo on Sunday. A good way to see what is happening is to log onto CBC.ca and go to the sports section. There you can get all the scores you will ever need plus many more besides.
ReplyDeleteWe heard on this mornings CBC news that Calgary had 25 cm of wet snow yesterday that froze overnight. Just think of the exercise you would have got shoveling that lot from your garage. Must go now as we are just off for a walk along the seawall in West Van !!
Hope you have recoverded from the "dreaded lurgy" Do you think you caught the "airline bug" that seems to attack almost every traveller these days?
I did reply to Meg and Vee thanking you for your help:) don't have a clue where it went
ReplyDeleteJohn It's way to expensive to log on to CBC by satellite. I do have all CBC & BBC sports bookmarked though.
Jolene had said Calgary was expecting snow, crazy weather. The D.L. may have been from the plane, but Dorothy didn't get it. Maybe because she had an aisle seat:)
Cheers
Tony
